Nevada Health Savings Account (HSA) Qualified Plans
A Nevada Health Savings Account (HSA), is a tax- advantaged medical savings account available to taxpayers who are enrolled in a High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP).
The HDHP must be considered an “HSA Qualified Health Plan” in order for the Nevada resident to open a HSA.
HSA Participants do not have to obtain approval from thier HSA trustee (or bank) or their medical insurer to withdrawl funds, and the funds are not subject to income taxation if made for qualified medical expenses.
In a nutshell – a HSA is an IRA for your medical needs. See below for more information.
